Thanks for the kind comments people.
He's on a diet of live feeders; platies, guppies, swordtails, mollies, ghost shrimps

He also have calcium and multivitamins added into the water.
Nice turt. However ading suplements to the water will do nothing and it will increase its hardiness wich matas dont like. What you have to do is feed heavily the feeders with a rich food before feeding them to the mata like pulverized reptomin and vegetable based fish food, that will work. Also I hope that thouse feeders are not recently brougth pet shop ones at the very least, the ideal is for you to breed your own. You can also give her bloodworms and earthworms from a clean sorce

A eel:eek:?! Wich species? To my knowlege non cooked eals have skin toxins!

Mata mata usually sell for about $250 for juvies but a full grown one will cost around $300-$350. I got mine full grown for $325.

I am not sure what kind of eel it is but the Chinese guy at the bait store has said they are good for sushi too so i am sure it is okay.

How would i go about entering my pic in the POTM contest?
