tank mates for a festivum in a 35 gallon any ideas?

i like those rainbows are the easy to get?

any more ideas?

never kept festivum but I will say I probably wouldn't keep them with a rainbow cichlid in a 35 gallon tank (depending on the dimensions). I've heard from several people that rainbows can actually get somewhat aggressive as they get older, but even if aggression wasn't the issue rainbows can also get somewhat large. I've heard of 6" easily with possible potential to reach 8" for males. Now keep in mind this info comes from experiences of others' that I've read because my experience with rainbows is very limited.

perhaps something a bit smaller like rams, appistos or even a keyhole would be better. you should also be able to do a nice school of a larger tetra, rasbora or non-nippy barb species. :)

the demchons are 12.5"w 17.5"h 3'L and the festivum im gettin is quite agressive

8" for a rainbow cichlid? Are we talking about Herotilapia Multispinosa? The sources that I have seen online say usualy under 3.5" rarely up to 5". Have I been misled? Mine is 5" and I thought he was as big as he could get. As for temperment he is not at all agressive unless challenged then he will stand his ground but never instigates anything.

lol :) what about a chocolate chiclid

should i get dithers?
