Hi within the last 2 days this female of mine 15-16" has been having very bad bite marks by 2 male inside the FGT. I've done a small water change and added some dissolved salt into the sump. Currently the female is still eating well. Is there anything else I can do? Was thinkin of removing the female, but I'm worried it will cause more stress to it. Is such bite mark normal during mating? Hope some season breeder can help too.

It does look "normal".

keep an eye on her....if it gets worse I would move the males not the female

those are typical bite marks on the back of the disk. For her safety, perhaps separate them for a bit, let her heal and then add them back together again. The mating process is brutal at times but the end result is really cool. Just keep an eye on them.

I agree it is really brutal. Will keep a close look on it. Any further damage I think I will be removing the male..

Thanks Guys for your advice. The female is eating very well. The male seems to have stop disturbing it. At least for now I think..
