I got mine at Shark Aquarium in NJ about 9 months ago. The owner told me it was from Mato Grosso region, but was not sure of the exact collection point. This fish had no spangling on it's body at all when it was little.(it always had a lot on it's fins though) I am curious to see what the little ones look like from lovethemfish! The yellow in the first pic just started showing in him the last month or so. You can see he is bigger than the other 2 pictures, which were from about 2-3 months ago.

wow, he's very pretty, How much??;) jkjk. But I found out the Tocantins and Araguaia rivers are in brazil. Which is also where Mato Grosso is. And also in some of my research that I have done the Tocantins azuls have more of a neon blue on there fins and Araguaia azuls have more red on there fins. Now what pops out at me the most is the yellow on his face. I love that Goldish yellow on azuls plus of coarse the blue. But also in the pics that you have showed it looks like he has everything I'm looking for the yellow, blue fins, and the red fins. That also stands out at me is the combination of the blue and red in his fins. Also if you don't mind me asking, How much did you pay for him? And do you have any baby pics of him? Thanks so much. Come on guys post pics or leads on where I can find some pics.

is that pics from sharks aquarium or did u find that?

I took that at Shark Aquarium. Mine was actually all by itself in one of those little acrylic squares about 6" X 6" I often see show fish kept in... They said he was isolated because he was not taking to pellets like the others & was also getting picked on. So I chose to get him out of that little "box"!
