Apparently this is the only non-marine skate known to science. I can't find much about it anywhere other than the fact that it lives in Australia and is endangered. From what I've seen, just because something isn't well known to science doesn't mean someone doesn't own it. Ex. I have yet to see any information at all about the "China Ray" except from ambitious pet owners.
Have any of you heard about this animal? It is endangered so I'm not going to be actively seeking it for a collection, but it would be cool of they were available somewhere.
This species might also go by the name of "Port Davey Skate". I'm still trying to figure out of the two names are synonyms or if they are in fact different species.
