I have keep endli in 75g and it grew to 16" in less than a year, depend on the gene of the endli, food and regular water change.

Captive breed endli have different growth rate even if they are siblings. Some will only get up to 9" in a year while some will be at around 14-15". In about 2 years they will get up to 18" or smaller even in a 100g tank. However some captive breed endli grows bigger in outdoor tropical ponds. I've seen some at 21".

At your tank size I'm guessing they will be at 18" max. Within less than a year they will get up to 14-15 inches and some are probably smaller.

ok thanks king el i feel 100x happier HAHA

lol There seems just to be a few rules...Food...Big W/C...Big Tank..BIG BICHIRS :D

Agreed, there will always be some variance, but in general a bigger tank wil yield bigger fish. I've seen ornates and senegals that have been grown out from a small size in a ~3000L tank and they all got huge quickly. I believe that grow out tanks (even generously sized ones) stunt fish more than most people think, one day I'd like to do an experiment with a group of bichirs and put some straight into a 180g+ and keep some in progressivly larger grow out tanks to see the difference in growth rates.

I have notice that too that keeping a 4" bichir in a 10g or 55g growth up tank grow smaller when it get to adulthood. That's why I start when a 75g tank as I grow up tank for my smaller bichirs, then place them to a bigger tank when they get up to 9".
