Max size's of the different cichla species

I want to know for ocellaris. Every website says different. A few websites say you can keep them in a 55 and up. Some say 180 and 350 but the most common is 125.

FOr occelaris 125 is waaay too small. It would be ok for the first 8 months-year. But occels get over 20" in captivity. Check out Hulons occel...its a beast!

180g is a minimum tank size for any cichla imo.

IMO I'd say 125 is a minimum. I rarely see any top out beyond 18". I usually see only around 16" or so.

Are there any experts here who can confirm the max size for the various cichla species being kept in captivity by fellow members here ?

Species in question are :

1.ocellaris

2.orinosensis

3.kelberi

4.xingu

5.intermedia

6.monoculus

7.pinima

8.piquiti

9.temensis

might be an idea to throw up a thread for each sp entitled something like who has the biggest azul? who has the biggest kelberi etc. i know its a lot of threads but everyone can post there biggest bass and you could put the results in this thread? we may get a better idea on sizes in captivity?
