Max time safe for fish travel from LFS

I never thought about the darkness, but that makes perfect since now that you guys mentioned it. I have lost a few fish in my 30 minute drive to petsmart, but when I drive 45+mins to an actual fish store who puts the bags inside a brown paper bag I have never had a problem. Thanks again, looks like I was worried about nothing. Side note: my 1.5hr drive is to "that fish place"/"that pet place" in lancaster PA. Any body been there? If so are they worth the drive?

I went there once years ago, pretty cool place and definitely worth the trip

That's exactly where I go. it's a 3 hour trip for me, I'd say it's worth it. It's the biggest pet store I've been to and when they're in stock they have some pretty nice fish.

an hour and a half is fine. 2 weeks ago i did an hour and a half trip with them and today about a 2 hour one. none died and there doin fine.
