Before you all start flaming me, this is not for real fish, but for feeder fish. I want to keep a ten gallon so i can keep the feeders in there, and monitor them, and make sure they are healthy before i feed them to my Oscar and flowerhorns. So how many feeders can i keep in a ten gallon, if say i had a filter made for a 50 gallon on it?

So you think your going to get flamed huh?...

With frequent W/C's & keep water chemistry perfect...fifty 1" feeder rosies, thirty 1" gold fish. Keep quarantined for 2 weeks.

I keep my feeders in a ten as well, but I have mostly cons. I keep up to 20 at a time, and they are small.

Yeah
Isn't it UNFORTUNATE that ... flaming is to be expected?

You can throw 50, 100 in a ten, which is what I do. Just do water changes frequently

are you talking about breeding or jut QT?
and you can get like a friggin million guppies but you also have to realize how long it'll take to go through them, and the die-off of that time.
also keep them in there for a solid 2 weeks, three is better.

What's not real about feeders?

the emotional attachment to the feeders

I'll have to disagree!
Some feeders do stick out, and end up as pets.

Yep, I fell in love with 2 cute little dalmation mollies that came in a big bag of feeders. They now get to live out their lives outside of a bigger fish's belly :).
