Maximum capacity of a ten gallon

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i keep about 30 in a 10gallon for about 2-3weeks
i keep the tank outside with plants in it and let the rain change the water
i usually lose 1-3 feeders in the 1st week the rest make it to the end
i have lost all 30 feeders in a few days:eek:

I used to keep a pacue when i was a kid, and i had one goldfish that i bought as a feeder, and he just happened to survive for a year and half, and got quite large. He was just too quick for the pacu, i called him Uber, as he was the superior fish, darwinism at work, then one day, in a mad dash aways from the pacu, he jumped out, and i came in to find him stunned on the ground, threw him back in, and he was too slow, the pacu nailed him...... if any of my fish are fast enought to escape my oscar and flowerhorns, they can gladly live.

oh, i was just trying to figure out about quarantining them btw, so the consensus seems to be 30? My oscar usually eats like almost a dozen a day if he can....., the fh about 3 or so, the oscar is quite large.

I'll have to disagree!
Some feeders do stick out, and end up as pets.

Yea I usually take amazing looking guppys out of the feeder bad and put them in a guppy bowl. lol.

Yep, I fell in love with 2 cute little dalmation mollies that came in a big bag of feeders. They now get to live out their lives outside of a bigger fish's belly :).
