Hi.. I've used the fans (small computer type fans blowing acrosss the tank.) combined with bottles of iced water floating in the tanks and plenty of aeration in the tank..Works great.. Also don't forget to turn off the lights both on the tank and in the room and keep the tank lids propped open a bit.. Most fish will be ok at high temps for a short time.. often for ich and such the treatment is salt and raising the temp to 88/90.. so I think if you can lower it even to 86 for a short time til you get things sorted out the fish should be fine..
