May be asking the world. LED lighting

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Cool deal. Only thing I didn't like about those was how focused the light was. I took the lenses off mine...spreads the light much more but it's not as bright. Also it exposes stuff you may not want to expose.

expose what!!!

When you take the lenses off you see the circuit board the LEDs are attached to. Of you have a glass cover it is probably fine. It's not nearly as bright but at least it covers the whole tank not just right under the light strip.

There are some on Ebay from to dog Sellers or something, are the ones from aquatraders comparable?

Cool, going to pick done up today. I guess the 6' would be good on a 6' tank?

I think the biggest is 48" that extends to 72? I could be wrong. If so then I'd get 3 true 36". Even tho the legs extend the light does not.

I recently got a beamworks led for my 125. I really like it. Another plus is that since I started using it, the tank has seen no algae growth.

Can you explain how to remove the lens? When I look at my beamswork LED I do not see a lens that looks removable.
