Ah sucks man. I know a few people who have packed in/downsized for a bit because of the economy and cost of it all (not that it necessarily applies to you). If the worst happens you can take comfort in knowing fishkeeping always comes back.
 
Sorry to here it Boggy, Beings your only 16 you don't really get a say on moves. At least I never did. But then again I never heard of charging your 16 year old for board especially while he is still in school. If they have quit that would be another thing.

perhaps you could do what I am doing: instead of having a whole bunch of tanks, perhaps have only one or two, but make them big if possible?

seems like a good compromise - you can still keep something, even if its not to the level you once had.

I know the feeling. I am going from 8 tanks to 2...
