By mma do you mean mixed martial arts? If so, no comparison because the 2 humans chose to get in the ring and fight. I take the same stance on hunting also. You want to kill an animal for the sake of a trophy or to say you killed a male lion, then make it fair. NO guns should be used. Only weaponry similar to that animal should be used. If you can't take the animal in this manner, then it should be left alone.

you're right no comparison, i just meant they don't do it because they want to prove they're manly or brave. they just do it because they love doing it or want a paycheck.
you do realize in hunting if you only used forced similar to what an animal would use, you'd give it a cruel slow death? i think that's worse then giving it a relatively quick death from a distance where they never knew what struck them.

Bulls have 2 horns, well the matadors could only use 2 spears like what they already have. So if a bull gets it's horns stuck, they have wait until they are free. If the matador looses the spears or they get stuck, then they will act accordingly.
Knives would have to be the weapon of choice for hunters for most animals to be fought. The kills should be quick not just stabbing an animal. The animals already feel pain when they are shot, etc...they are terrified also but they will fight back because they want to survive.
If the animal outsmarts you then you have to allow it to live period.
