Very nice looking Mayan, what other foods bring out their color????

I have one, about 4-5" now. It's been a great fish for me and has recently starting to develope more orange and red. It eats anything eagerly. Mine hasn't been aggressive to this point, but is not bullied either.

So other than krill, what else would you feed the Mayans to bring out their color????

On the one in my pic I mostly just fed Hikari Cichlid Bio Gold, Krill, Mysis, and Brine shimp, mostly the first two.

I like my mayan; I've had him for about a year now and he's 5". I caught him in the everglades last year. However he doesn't have much of a "personality" as far as cichlids go.
