Not without a microscope on the first day. Unfertilized eggs will turn a bright white by tomorrow. These should be removed. If the parents are tending the eggs, they will remove and/or eat the unfertile eggs.

:headbang2 I dont care if they eat some as long as I get a cuple hundred fry :naughty:

That means you are taking very good care of them if they are breeding. Have you thought of what you will feed them? You should feed them three to five times a day,and feed them Liqiud fru food, and baby brine shrimp. Once they are close to an inch you can feed them crushed flakes. Don't feed to much brine shrimp.

I fed my last batch egg yokes, brine shrimp and fry food. then my lfs bought them from me at about a inch

Update: so oddball was right I now have around 4-600 tan eggs and 4 pure white thax everyone now I just wait

:headbang2 :headbang2 I have WIGGLERS so about 98% of my eggs hatched today while I was at work.So I get home and check on my eggs and they were all gone (my heart drops) did some one eat them so I scowerd the tank and found them in the very back under a rock wheew. I can't see them very well (sorry no pix yet)mom hid them good, but judging by the number of eggs that hatched I shoul have around 6-800. I'll try to get a pix if the parents move them around.:grinno:
