Im not a fan of hybrids either, but if you dont let them into the hobby I dont see the problem in keeping a few of them.

I'm really curious as to what they hybrid would look like. I don't see much harm in using most of them as feeders, slowly culling until you have the most interesting 2 or 3.

Look to see if the mayan has his tube out. My female salvini is laying eggs all over the place too, but no male. I have a female blue acara that sorta "paired" up with the salvini, but even if the acara was male they wouldnt be able to mate.

so i just got back from a trip and noticed that the eggs were almost all gone. i looked in the back corner and sure enough, there was tons of newly hatched fry! not worth taking a pic of because my camera sucks, it just looks like a pile of sand.
