ok i went fishing to day and i bought worms 4 bait and i had some left up so i choped them up from pieces 1-4cm worm and gave them to my cichlids and my acara wolfed down a 6cm piece(didnt cut properly) and was opening his mouth abit and looked like munching on it and a couple mins later fine. i put some for the others they loved the expecaily my sajicas. i went too my 30gallon grow out and put some in there 1 piece each theres a convict, some type of texas, jack dempseys and a geo. they range 3-5cm texas being the smallest and they loved the too all got a piece and a couple hours later i chopped some more up was i only gave 2 worms between about 14 and i was looking around for my convict and i found him at the back dead:cry: , but he was white and gills puffed and body quite fat. i cut up his body just to check it wasnt the worms and i couldnt see anythink. so was this due to the worms or....
and should i be worried for the others as a 4cm firemouth got about 1-2cm piece and hes doing it know
HELP:irked:

was he alive when you put the worms in?

if so i say another fish killed him for the worms

but not alot of wounds on him. he was dead for the 2nd sitting of worms thats when i noticed but he was the most aggressive fish in ther

Thats really odd,Ive had fish act like they have a "bellyache" and refuse food the next day after worm dinner ,but dead that quick?dont know.I usually feed peas the day before or after worms to keep things moving

thanks, all of the fish have stopped breathing slow and hard expet the firemouth which is in a breeding trap as it was being bullied.
ile just have to wait until the morning
hope for the best

ok firemouth which was sick in the breeding trap, i woke up and he was fin put him in the tank with the rest and i toke the trap out and and he had spat out the worm

Every time i see a bloat post, convicts are usually the ones involved, mine got bloat after eating mealworms, i've heard that stress, diet, and water parameters are the causes for bloat in convicts.

yh i realy liked that con too he was cool he would herd my tiger barbs like a sheep dog and he had cool colouring realy dark bluey colour and normal black stripes. iam going to get another tomorrow

also cool thing is that i feed some worms to the other tank and its triggered my kribs to breed and now shes layed eyes and male fertilised!! 1st fish ive breed any tips as the with acaras firemouth and sajicas... remove fry ...when
