Ok, if you want an honest opinion...

First and foremost, they were probably not jurapari. Most likely they were leucosticta.

Secondly, being a cichlid fanatic, getting rid of a bicher in exchange for a cichlid is a great deal!!

Thirdly, without pics it's hard to say whether or not you're getting ripped off. More than likely you are.

why were they more likely leucosticta. what shuld i look for to see if im getting ripped?

I think $200 for eight large wild santanopercas is a fair deal regardless the species especially from a LFS.

We have a red texas,Bichars, and a flowerhorn with my juparis.They don't bother them.they are 5 and 6 inch fish with 7-8 inch geo's in a 90 gal.There are 5 juparis .

I think that either way it's still a good deal. I'm a cichlid fanatics also and i have a group of geophagus (Over 20!) And tehy look great. and 8 at that sight woudl be a pretty awesome sight.
