damn Mopar, take it easy bro. It sounds like you are defending Walmart to the death. What if they meant "the guy working at Walmart told the customer this fish would be fine in a small tank like that"

I agree with proteus, thats the most logical thing!

ive had alot of people tell me alot of dumb things, including walmart. hell just yesterday i bought 2 id sharks from there(yes i know that they will get 30+",are skittish as hell, and extremely active). i asked for "two of those catfish." i was quickly corrected by the employee "oh these arent catfish, they are sharks." walmart is FULL if misinformation. all's im saying is if someone is going to take on the burden of caring for a living animal, then they need to inform themselve's(sp?) and not blame others.

it's just too easy these days to pass blame to others. i agree that pacu's, id sharks, ect... should not be sold there, but they are along with a million other store's in the world that misinform us all. who's to blame, the stores, the importers, or the people who buy these fish and then mistreat em?

edit: ok im done biznitchin, dont want to fight. have a nice day!

I AGREE!

1. you dont know that the fish was in that small of a tank for its entire life.

2. what if proteus was right about the fish being put in there because its other larger tank cracked? or for a photo-op?

3. yes its bad to keep a grand fish like that in a tank so small but then again, its not like you can get arrested for that sort of stuff..

aspca people only like to deal with animals that have a "sense of self" or what-have-you.

and what brings you to that conclusion? what the hell does it matter if the fish was bought at walmart or if it was bought at the best fish store in the world? it's the owner's responsibility to educate themselves on their own purchases.

guess next time someone gets shot we can say "the gun was proboably bought at walmart."

or how bout a car crash, "oh the tires were bought at walmart."

kid drowns, "it was the cheap pool we bought at walmart."

oh i can see it now all over the net, "child is born, suspected father sues walmart for selling beer without condoms!"
haha

although this is a general stereotype it's still funny. To all of us that know what they're doing this is ridiculous, but to the general public this seems to be alright because they're misinformed. I can see how "we" would be upset by this, but to the people that don't know any better this is the best they can do. Ultimalty like previously stated it's not a matter of where they were bought, but how much the people that bought them didn't know.

Shut up about walmart everyone.

I didn't contact the guy, and I absolutely don't want a pacu. The guy says that it is 15-16 inches and he wants to see it in a 55 gallon, and says it would be great with an oscar... And it doesn't seem like he has kept it in a bigger tank. I think it has always been in that small one.

With the Countries economic condition like it is...Wall st. about to have a mass suicide jump off...
WalMart is still going strong...Gotta love Wallys Follys for stayin' on top!!

Where else ya gonna get high grade cheesy stuff?...
