Would it be possible to keep mbu puffers with other fish whithout it going nuts one day biting holes in to the other fish because some of my smaller fish only grow to 10" and my larger ones 2ft so if i can keep an mbu with them it would make me happy

MBU's are hit and miss. Someone on here (sorry can't remember who) even managed to keep one with rays for a while...
Generally though, sometimes they will be alright in a community, other times they have to be kept on their larry. I've seen them at lfs in a tank with different species, and i guess if it has been there for a certain period of time and were going to try it, that is the specimen i'd get, and make sure it was always well fed, and hope its not agressive.
