So I have my MBU in my 40 gallon quarantine tank for about 2 months now. Got him from Rob from predatory. He's doing amazing he's basically a blimp how much he eats lol he is about probably 6-7 inches from head to tip of tail. He LOVES shrimp. Can't get enough of it. My question is when should I start too try and give him clams on a half shell for his teeth. Or is he still young enough where that's not a worry yet bc he still to small to even break a clam even on a half shell

I did today and wanted nothing to do with it! He ran away from it 😭
I'll wait till he a little bigger. I don't wanna start starving him just for clams, he gets bigger I'm sure his appetite for other food will increase lol

Quick update on this. So he was growing out in a 75 gallon. Last weekend I moved him into his 400 gallon. Since I didn't want to try and get him out when he was much bigger so he's about 8 inches. He eating fine in the 75.. seems to be having a harder time. Hasn't really eaten since I moved him in his 400.. he swimming and glass surfing and being his normal self. But is this just a grace period bc it's a new tank and he's getting use to it? He's not sitting on the bottom or anything. Just curious if I should be a tad worried lol
