mbu puffer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
^ its just that there are a lot of members when new to this site like to over-stock their tanks for whatever reason and never listen to advise about upgrading their tanks... So naturally some of the older members here become a bit jaded...

Normally i would avoid MBU threads like the plague, since i almost always get in a fight whenever i post in one...

I research any fish before I get them if it's gets too crowded I'll sell them to my local pet store

If I had a $1 for every time someone said it's a holding tank, not my fault but someone else or it's temporary until I build a bigger one I would buying new fish without touching my own wallet!! You asked the question I gave you the answer which was my don't beat around the bush and the truth will set you free answer!

Sorry if I came off wrong but I usually keep it the same for everyone. I was just stating quick facts I found on the internet in about 5 min of searching. You need to build a 12' x 8' pond and you will be good to go with all those fish except the tarpon.

I know im late to the game but, IME having a 30" mbu, anything sedentary will eventually lose. ie.. bichir, gar, pleco, etc... even 10" dats cause they don't move either. breed apple snails and make him happy.
I cant bash over crowded or tank size, im guilty of both. I can tell you,I wish I had I wider tank for mine!! once they stop using their tail fin.... its not long before they're dead

jaded or jihad! I couldn't help it, old crusties

My mbu is Around 18" had it since it was around 6" and its lived in harmony with all tank mates other than a birchir. I've never seen any aggression toward another tank mate. Feeding gets a tad ropey but just make sure they have enough food before feeding the other fish in the tank
