I think main issue is space, bioload etc... Water quality will be extremely difficult to keep up with 2 30 inch fish. And there's a lot of chance of accidental injury if they're cramped. In addition even plecos can become aggressive with limited space etc.. They need space to move and stretch, small space risks health issues with all fish. But yeah as far as natural temperament 2 mbus can work.
