Thanks for the advice. I will play around over the weekend. I may try my strobes, I have a 6' soft box, my tank is 7' - do you think that would work? I will assume you just light from the top to avoid reflections?
I have found a more direct (unless you have a 2-3' deep tank) bare flash works better as not to liht the back of the tank or other unwanted areas in the shot.
A TTL cable is what you want Eastbay, unless you have a radio flash.
Try angling the flash off the glass so it will bounce away rather than back at you. Im no expert but it works for me. If you can manage to shoot pix of your tank without a flash with no blur please let me know. Pix without a flash are so much better. Lookin forward to your pix. Oh by the way Ive kept Africans. Very kool fish but youre gonna need a hell of alot more fish in a 210 to keep the aggression down. Look around. A tank filled with Mbuna needs to be full! Good luck Monsta!
That mix should work very well, I have everything except the demasoni in my malawi tank. I would add the demasoni last as they are the most aggressive, other than that you're good to go. That will be a nice colorful and entertaining tank, enjoy it!
Cool photo!
And I have no idea what a TTL line is! Actually, I think I do. I just don't know what they're called.
Really, I'm a writer who was forced to take pictures, but I love shooting sports. I know just enough about photography to get good shots for my paper.
