awesome advise thank you, i'm prob gonna wait a little while for them to grow a little but more before i try to vent them. as for the acei, at what size do the colors usually start to change to indicate it is a male?

I've had kenyis that change color at 1.5 inch and others that have took till 3 inches it depends on tank mates... yours is probably female if it has'nt started to change yet so you could get a male and a few more females or 2-3 males with at least 6-8 females or so if you want a breeding group... I have a tank right now full of both sexes at about 2-3 inches they are with blue zebras, red zebras and melonochromis auratus, cynotilapia afras and electric yellows... I can usualy tell their sexes by the time they are 2.5 inch but sometimes it can happen earlier~
