LMFAO

are you trolling man? that made me literally lol

in case you werent' trolling, and i can see how you may have misunderstood, I meant they get apple juice diluted with water and at different times they get milk seperately. lol, not a ghetto fabulous mixture of apple juice, water and milk in one beverage

Haha I thought so, but just had to confirm. And I hear you about being on the run all the time. I could not even begin to imagine our busy lives with kids in the mix. I think that's why we still haven't decided to have kids.

And on the fast food thing, I wish there really were more options for 'fast' food. It seems like the only thing that's quick and convenient is burgers/fries. I think it's just that drive-thru lifestyle that we've gotten so used to. Take Japan for instance. I spend a few weeks a year in Tokyo for work. Those guys put a new meaning to multi-tasking and being on the run. They're always in a hurry. Yet, there's no obesity. Everything they eat is healthy and made from scratch. Even the 7-11s in Japan are stocked with healthy 'fast' meals, where here in the states they're stocked with microwave burritos, burgers, nachos, and hotdogs. I wonder what America would be like if the drive-through never came along?

One of my friends mom used to give him this nasty mix of soda and milk... surprisingly enough, they called it soda-milk

^ yea that's just nasty, borderline filthy

when i was a kid, this black kid told me about how they get a bowl of steamed rice and pour milk into it and eat it like that. i thought that was weird. don't know if that's a regular soul food or not.

maybe eddie can chime in

and j, when you have kids, your life will never be the same. little things you take for granted now, you will realize it when you have kids.

I love the mcrib. Its has nothing on a slab that's been smoked for 4 hours but something about it is outstanding, sorta how you'd never call Taco Bell good Mexican food but still crave it every once in a while.

I tried the McRib last year out of curiosity (and because of the Ribwich on the Simpsons). I took one bite and gave the rest to my dog. It was awful. I don't understand the hype.

My grandmother used to fix warm rice with a little milk and sugar in it for me when I was a kid,not sure if it is soul food though lol. It's like a form of hot cereal and I still eat it occasionally...As for the rib thingy, number one I never liked the way it looked in the ads so I was in no hurry to try it.When it comes to ribs,it's got to be the real deal.

^That is called rice pudding in our family.
I am definitely with Jcon on the fast food issue. There are plenty of meals that can be cooked that take the same amount of time to prepare as driving to Mick D's and back. Plus the children learn a valuable lesson of cooking. That said, the 'occasional' treat of fast food is fine as long as it does not become a staple for kids or they start seeing it as a food group.

hey hey hey, I work at McDonalds and don't like it when you guys bad mouth the food........

Just kidding the food is terrible and working there is even worse.

Yup it looks pretty disgusting and it sounds disgusting so I don't think I would wanna try it. I don't see the hype. I very rarely eat fast food and the few times that I do it makes me sick (you would think I would learn). Home cooked food is so much better and there are plenty of good "fast" meals you can make at home that are much better for you.

I know if I have kids I may not be able to 100% avoid fast food but my goal is to do so. As for soda I don't keep it in my house either and I don't ever plan on starting.
