To be honest with you, benching 202 is really nothing. Many men weigh more than 202 pounds. And if you like are a soldier at a war zone or like in a profession like a fireman, you would have to carry people like over 202 pounds over your shoulder to safety. So benching 202 is really nothing.

Yes, I can lift 202 plus pounds.

I used to be a power lifter for years my max bench was 545 and i could do reps 8-10 with 405lbs i was 25yr and 305lbs at the time. I have been on the couch for last few years but i am close to making a come back.:headbang2Read my signature it says it all:grinno:

right there with you. although i wasnt on the couch, just had other things that got in the way. im on my way back up. im aiming for 350 bench and 450lb+ deadlift, be able to do 30 straight pullups and weigh about 250 by the end of the year. right now im pretty weak compared to what i was. my bench is only 250, deadlift, i dont know my max but i did 315 in the gym the other day and took some strength. and i can only do like 14-16 pullups instead of the 22 i used to max out at. and im 6'6" about 225. hard to keep weight on running everyday and working in 90 degree weather with humidity reaching 100% and 90 the norm.

I can lift 150lb lol i tried today in the gym 150 is good for a 120lb/5 foot 7 girl right? I made like a screamy noise when i lifted it and everyone looked lol!

you realize that putting a man on your shoulder and laying down and lifting weights are completely different and involve different muscles?

Benching 202 pounds is something, not nothing, it means your strong enough to push 202 pounds away from your body in a laying position...

man, I have moved 330 lbs (more then double my weight) of dirt at once, continuously. 220 of those pounds on my shoulders and 110 pounds in my arms. it involves stamina, cardio, and endurance.

Benching 202 is nothing to me, maybe to you. Friggen a 120 pound woman in this thread said she can bench 150. And your saying that 50 more pounds is something for a man. Yeah right. If you ever played sports in high school, a coach would say that your strong if you can bench twice your weight.

To the OP, it is good to have goals, and based on your reaction after the lift, it made you feel good about yourself. Screw the haters and those trying to one-up you. Congrats, and lets get the next goal lined up. I enjoy the sense of accomplishment with each plate I add over the last session. I remeber getting caught up in the whaddaya bench crap. And Ill say this..... I'll outlift most anybody. No need to run off at the mouth with poundages and how far I can do this , or how many times I can do that. You dont lift for anyone other than yourself.

your spotter doesn't even need to touch the bar. I hated when people used to do that. you clearly got it and they have to put their fingers on it.

keep it up,........... you'll get to 250 in a month or two depending on how often you work at it

Give it a rest, folks! Enough of the garbage arguments.
