) This tank was set up as my wife's tank. She loves the earth eaters and wanted other fish to "enhance the decor". We have a burnt orange as an accent in the room, so I got some tetras and a rainbow with that color and if I may say: fish can be a stunning room accent that just give a room...POP!
BAN ME! It was a good thing. vacuuming is not as hard as I thought it would be. I use a python (gravity out the back door) with a 24" tube, so the sand does not seem to get sucked up that high up the tube.
wow that looks sweet, i jus recently added play sand but had to remove it, retarted play sand jus wouldn't clear up. got cloudy every 2 days and 50% water changes every 2 days was getting anoying. i am pickin up some of this PFS maybe today, can't wait to get it in
I like the look of the sand. Do you treat it different than gravel re: rinsing it before putting it in? Is the PFS better than playsand? When I get the big tank I might try using sand, I just worry about getting it clean before putting it in...
