I don't know why I didn't think of that, and I still have a month of photos to go through!

D. filiformis is one of the more usual sundews. Mine is completely coated with small flying insects right now. Watching the new leaved uncurl from their tight spirals is always fascinating too. Drosera tracyi gets even bigger than filiformis and looks like its glowing because of the lack of red pigments. Both are awesome plants.
 
We surveyed Avery's Mill Pond on 7-9-2011 in an attempt to find the mother population of Drosera intermedia in Surry County. We didn't find any, but we did find Utricularia radiata, which is a new county record. I found one of the flower floats while waiting for the team to get over a beaver dam in a canoe. It quickly lead to more and more of the plant the further we went towards the head of the pond.
