my 2 inch jewel cichlid ripped up my 4 inch convict cichlid gave it to my friend killed his cichlids 2 lived out of 5 never trust pet smart saying the convict was the most aggressive cichlid

my 4" gold severum. meanest little bugger ive ever come across. kicked the crap out of a firemouth, male convict, syno cats, Parachromis Loisellei and it has also killed a 4" oscar when the sev was 2" and killed its sibling.
it tried numerous times to take on my GT but failed miserably. the sev took a few beatings before giving up on the GT and continued to harass the rest. i gave it away for store credit

I put the mean fish in a tank all her own.

i got rid of 4 oscars not really because they were mean but more because they were really dirty. but not being able to add a fish to my tank deff helped me want to get rid of them even more.

only fish i have ever got rid of 4 being 2 agressive was my dorado he was a vicious sod but swaped him 4 a slightly smaller 1 n cash and he was fine

Mine was a 12cm jungle perch. Little bastard killed everything bigger or smaller than it. If it tried to dig a hole and hide, he'd go and dig after it. Good thing he didn't have teeth, so he couldn't hurt plecos, but he did put countless rainbows, an archer fish bigger than it and a small Hyrtl's catfish to bed amongst other things.

When I finally decided to try to put a tarpon in the tank, he beat that up too, so I moved him into a bucket for a few hours. Of course, the stupid jungle perch jumped out, and wound up dying.

Now, I have two indo-pacific tarpon in that tank that of all things, eat flake food. It's nice to have mellow fish in a tank again...these guys don't bother anything, even if it's small enough to eat.
