when i kept my 16" in a three footer he barely moved now hes in a 4x2x2 he swims all the time! i think lungs can make do anywhere but are truly happy with swimming space!

i cant believe some of the more experienced members on this site are advocating keeping large fish in small tanks. :irked: i had an african lung i kept in a 3ft tank and didnt move much - moved it to a 5x2.5 and it amazed me how active it was - these are large fish that need large tanks!
 
I have to say that being new to the lungfish that they do need a long tank. I think the species that stay around 3ft will be fine in most tanks atleast 18 inches wide. Looks like a 75-90 gallon tank but for the one in that tank i think it will need much bigger. This lungfish species are capable of 6ft i think.
