Proabably the one you were gonna post. 26b PP no-turbo or power adder from NZ. I like rx7's(FD's) better too but anything would have a hard time keeping up with that supra.

Just remember that with sick and fast comes broke... whether it's for maintnance or for speed parts.

Sad part is I sold my last FD for chump change years ago and can't touch a decent one now for under 15k. Supra's similar except I don't think they've lost value at all in 10 years.. lol Supras have a higher introduction price but low maintnance costs, and rx7's are just the opposite.

Both cars have their pro's/cons.

it really depends all on what you consider low matenence costs, just with the engine, even though it was the famous 2JZ, a 10 y/o engine, is still a ten y/o engine, and the more parts you put into it, such as turbo's the faster the engine will wear down, keeping a supra just full of gas isn't cheap, but you are correct with the priceing, sold mine for 43, months ago, and that sucker had 85,000 on the odometer. i miss going fast, but upkeep sucks ass.

i have a funny feeling i saw that car on ebay a couple months ago

yeah but 2jz is is bulletproof from the head down. Buy one with 140,000 miles on it and you'll probably only have to replace the valve seals in the head. It's toyota built. Thing might as well be bulletproof.

Sure there's upkeep but buy a rx7 and try to compare the two. There is none. rx7 is a great car for a good price to get into but once you start replacing cheap interior plastic parts, realize your boost patterns aren't correct, replace the 33ft of vacum line and the tons of one way check valves in the engine bay you realize you need about another 10k to simplify the car/repair it and make your life easier..

Both great cars but the rx7 basically has things that has to be upgraded before you can even safely drive it. (radiator/ast/etc)

I've never liked Japanese cars but if I had to have one it would be a Supra or maybe a Skyline. Give me an old muscle car. No emition blockers, no catylitic converter, just raw horsepower and torque. I want a Shelby GT350 or 500k. And anything mopar with a hemi is fine too. Nothing beats the sound of a V8. I hate the sound of rice-burners. They sound like my ass after I just ate at Taco Bell.

the thing that amazes me most, is the fact, the as soon as you buy a car, and start driveing it the value is constantly going down, and down but with supras, there a minimum of 10 years old, and most have 100k+ on the motors, yet they don't decrese in value, and in alot of cases increase, i beleive the fact is supply and demand, they did not make a large number of supra's from 93-98, and the more imports are getting know,
the more supra's rasie in fame and value. and not to mention, that there a awesomely built car, and the motors can take 1000 hp on stock internals, and make huge numbers on just a few mods. great cars, if you have the money

for any of you guys thinking of gettting one, for mods, work with suspention, and brakeing before you go with your bolt on turbo's, and engine parts, you'll need the handeling and stopping power.
