huh? meanmouth?

I've heard of Warmouth, but never a Meanmouth. Warmouth, (Lepomis gulosus), are a member of the Sunfish Family. I've heard that they can be mean, but I'm not sure if this is the fish you're speaking about.

"Meanmouth" is a name used for various black bass hybrids, including largemouth X smallmouth, spotted X smallmouth, and spotted X largemouth. I haven't kept any. From what I have read they are not much different from any "pure" bass, and tend to reach sizes intermediate between the two parents.

they get the name from there aggression, they have been know to attack (hit at) anything that falls or swims in there raising ponds including humans. Just like tiger musky they seem to show no fear. There are not breed very often and usually made in a lab, but can occur in nature.

A friend of mine had one in his pond I caught. It was really cool looking but we haven't caught another one like it yet. I didn't know how rare it is.
