Thats a great way of adding up the voloume one in which i have used many times in the past, but if your not too good at maths heres an easier way to get the voloume of your tank ...

Ummmmm.... I may be crazy but it sounds like a very bad idea using a Under GRAVEL Filter with SAND...... Then again I may jus tbe crazy

milkman407- 75 gallon for free is awesome, but I dont think an underground filter will work with sand.
