ALL these idiots :) But I'm sure none of them feel as coy as some probably do now :)

And that is only one of many threads of this nature :) And Just as many here measure their fish as don't :) ON the outside of the tank :) It is actually a VERY common procedure in the hobby and on this site :D

It is not worth risking the health and welfare of your arow just for a measurement.. you will have your correct measurement but most likely your arow will look like it went through hell..scales can get damaged so easily and the stress from the event may cause him to go off food....also he may even be jumpy and fear you for a long time.. and if by chance you do not have a good grib on him he could fall or jump out of your net or hands..hardly worth it for a measurement.

Well, I'm pretty sure just as many people will believe me if I have a tape measure right next to the fish on the glass without having to pull the fish out.

And I totally agree with what RD is saying.. I just don't see it being worth the risk.

we will all believe you.... !!!!:D

i'm with liz...not worth the risk...they get out of the tanks enough on their own:D

why not just give it some estimate, while you wrap around a measuring tape outside your tank, thats the best thing i can advise you to measure the size of your aro

Agreed :) And My aros are just as healthy as the rest.. SO either way is fine with me :)

So I'm with Tongue33 :)

As when i measured mine I did not lose any scales :) And haven't on any of my fish as far as I can recollect, And In my opinion due to my success with the way i have done it I must say that there has been minimal risk.

And Yes Ayobreezie I will believe you with your tape next to your tank.:) I just choose to do it the way I know.
