Measuring ray disk diameter

So when people say their ray is "x" inch or cm (w/e unit they use) in diameter, do they measure the diameter "A" or "B". Because ray's body shape is not really a perfect circle lol

If they measure "B" (tail not included), they will end up with a bigger disk diameter compare to "A" supposedly.

First time I've heard that...guess the measurement is going to be close either way. As long as it isn't nose to tip of tail! Dang aquabid sellers are notorious for that!
