no, my current tank is a tiny 2'x1.5'x1.5'. i'm getting a 4'x2'x2' in the next week or so. looking for one right now. how do i cycle a tank? turn on the filter and let it run for a week or so?

Your are gonna have to make an effort to learn some of this stuff yourself. There is just to much info to post.
Start with learning about the nitrogen cycle, this will help you to better understand how to cycle a tank.
