Hey all, not sure if I’m posting this in the correct section, but I’m going to be graduating in less than a month with a degree in mechanical engineering. I currently live in Dayton, OH. I have been looking at jobs in Florida, because my wife and I would like to relocate there. I haven’t had any luck yet, though. It’s proving to be difficult to get my resume noticed since I’m out-of-state and am basically an entry level candidate.

So, does anyone here know of any mechanical engineering jobs in a Florida or have any connections that they’d be willing to check into on my behalf?

Thank you all for your support.

Can't help you being half way around the world but best of luck Travis, my only advice is to remember persistence pays off -- if you really want a good job in Florida you will for sure find one by showing potential employers you don't give up and really have a desire to work for them and contribute.

Also I'm thinking that good mechanical engineers are always in need -- you took a smart route, better than say a liberal arts degree in African-American studies or the like lol -- you should always be able to find work compared to many other fields.

Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I do plan on being persistent and will keep trying. We would really like to be closer to the ocean and in a warmer climate.

I plan on jumping on the same boat as you in a couple years. I’m also going to graduate with a mech engineering degree.
