My bichirs kick up anything that can settle in my tank (a bare bottom) theres no point in siphoning anything.. ever which is pretty cool.

well i'm using pool filter sand in my tank but pretty sure the ray and bichirs will move along the bottom enough to stir up the bottom debris. i'm only worried about the ray with the pool filter sand. havent gotten any experiences yet of if its good or bad idea

I have this same setup kinda, I have a equal pump with one return line to the top of the tank but the its split into 3 directional outputs. I get enough flow across the whole tank, to keep the stuff in one corner but not enough to kick it up to the top where the intake is.

I have really been thinking about getting one of these, does your friend like it? is it loud? can it be directed? I saw a 3200gph for like 30 bucks.

They're made in the same factory as koralias. You can use the same magnet mounts and everything. I got mine for 25 shipped on ebay with a power cord made for 110v power. Many of the ones available will need a power converter as they are made to sell in different markets. You can aim them all around just like a koralia. I used it in my 125 before I upgraded to a vortech.
