Medium sized snakeheads.

HI

I am looking for a recommendation as to which snakehead to get..
I dont want them to grow too big, a max. of around 30-40 cm..my newly ordered tank is not that big.

So, do you have any helpful advise as to which one to get?
I rather like the channa punctata, but the lucius looks good too..

Any advise is greatly apprciated

channa pleuropthalma..grow to about 40 cm. they hunt in packs too...

another factor i would ask u is if uR tank is not tat big how many are u intending 2 haf... den settle 4 the species...

Well, i only intend to have one, in the tank...tank is 4'x2'x2' a bit over 400L
One other thing that have to be taken into consideration, is that i live in japan,and the summer over here gets very hot!..so any fish have to be able to tolerate high temperatures..we are talking about 29-30 degrees c.

i know you said medium but why not get a bunch of small channa like gauch or the others? and breed them?

I already have a channa bleheri, so i want something a little bigger..
Size matters..sort of

if it's solitary then it's an auranti for me....but thats just me
