The decision to refrain from selling them was a responsible one. It's the only way to ensure that the strains remain pure. Otherwise it is likely that someone receiving the fry would raise them up, breed them to either a meeki or elloti and sell them as something other than a hybrid.

Beautiful looking fish. Also a great example of hybrid vigor.
 
Thata interesting... so do you think Hybrids tend to grow larger and stronger? Or is it just the fact its been reared from a fry and fed well? The reason why I'm asking is I've recently spawned some true Firemouths and the hope is that they'll be like this boy... big and strong.

EXACTLY!!!!

Look at the mess with IDing Trimacs these days aswell as the Midevil complex.
 
Oh incidentally this Hybrid is very soft.... no aggression at all. he gets bullied by a FM half his size thats twice his age.
