Meet 007!

Here's the website for the west spot:
http://www.wetspottropicalfish.com/store.php
If you click on store and type in "scarlet" for search, a $60 scarlet pleco will pop up, but it will say that it was added June 2008. I'm guessing that it's out of stock and the website isn't updated.

Had I known they were so valuable, I would have bought one at my LFS in the DC area last summer, where it was for sale for $120 (and used my 50% coupon). Instead I got a sultan. At the time, a scarlet would have been too big for my 29 gallon. Now I have a 75 gallon, but it's for raising up leopard cactus L114 and sultan L264.

True. They may be out of stock.

Actually. let me call them real quick.

They are out of stock and are on the no export list. So your only gonna be able to find older ones or locally bred ones.

Thanks for calling the wet spot Muni. I was so frustrated looking at outdated websites for my L114, having false hope they may have some in stock.

Anyone know of good websites besides aquabid that have current "in-stock" sales of fancy plecos?

The wet spot is a decent source for most fancies.

I was surprised to see the Scarlet. but as they are on the non-export list for brazil now they are much harder to come by.

Still hides quite a bit. But got him eating. Well saw him eating anyways. He went to town on a shrimp pellet he stole from one of my Kribs.

He's got an interesting movement. It looks like he walks on his front fins. Mostly backwards. Kinda fun to watch.
