Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. Yes, it's a burmese python. That picture was taken last week. He's now caged on a solid floor surface in our guest room. He likes it very much.

so nice! i would never be breave enough to do a burm. im only 5ft tall :D ill drop if i pick up a snake as big as a full grown snake.
