story short, i imported this guy at 4 inch. grew him for a bit and gave him to a friend. he grew to about 8 inches and had his tail completely bit off by his leopoldi in the same 1200 gal tank! since then, hes acted the same... ate fine and swam around fine. hes now 10 inches and acts like nothing has happened! a freak accident but i'm glad to see that he's going to make it!

i will try and get a video of him when i visit. i'm sure it will be a cool sight to see a pancake flopping around without a tail lol

cool. can it climb glass ?

Cool ray. He will do just fine. A couple years ago I went on a cruise to the Carribean and one of the stops was the Caymen Islands. There we went on a snorkeling and swim with the rays excursion. There was a wild ray about 3' wide with no tail swimming around. The locals named her Frisbee. I think I have a video of her somewhere.

its nice to see the unique rays that have a story to behind them. this one with a battle scar make it an individual that stands out from the crowd :)

would like to see the video of the ray in the wild as mentioned above. i think that would be nice .
