I might give Underwater World a call and see if they can put me intouch with their supplier. Its hard to find beasts of that caliber in Sydney!

They only have the one so I doubt they have a supplier.More then likely, you will find it was given to them at some point long ago from some one who couldn't keep it anymore.:)
 
hey ive seen that dovii at uww queensland and i reckon hes at least 24inchs.at least.hes huge.dam im jealous,mines 12.4 now.....
 
That CA tank at TN aquarium is definitely amazing. I was there a few weeks ago and yeah there were two pairs with tons of fry and those males were every bit of 22-24"
 
i think the giants with that much color are truely amazing but imo most of the 6-12 inch run of the mill dovii are overated. if i had a 400gallon tank and could buy the one in the pic id love to have him.
 
Here's a pic of one when it was at 20". He, from what the former owner said, now resides in a 8.5k private aquarium. Guessing he's packed a few more inches since then.

He's in a 400 gallon tank in that pic for references. Oh yeah, the pic isn't mine, the shot is too nice, lol.
 
Rec's Dovii will always be one of the nicest! Rec's Ex Dovii sorry.
 
Here's a pic I saved a while back. This was a MFK member's dovii although I can't recall the username. I also don't know the exact size, but I can surmise from the photo he's a big 'un. I think I read this fish is no longer alive. But, very impressive.
