Very nice, be careful of those spikes. Next concern you may have is that your mega may starve for a few days or weeks, depending on their own characteristics, it is normal. Mine starved for a week before I saw it eat from the safety of its corner, which I block it from total view of its surrounding using a driftwood. Takes another week before it start coming out for its meals

Make su're you have good hides for them. They really appreciate it. I have had mine go on feeding strike after I rearrange the driftwood during cleaning. mine took to nls pellets fast!

Ahhh, snails... I heard it too, megalodoras is also known as the Queen of Snails I think, because he loves to eat snails as long as it fits its mouth. Never tried feeding mine

Also make sure what decorations u have in there you want to be in there permanently because they lodge themselves in small crevices and hold their fins out to hold themselves in. Also like others say they are rarely seen and don't eat all the time

I have a pretty good catfish book that refers to the psudodoras niger as the queen of snails but snails must be a favorite food item among these fish..I'll have to post up some shots of my two megaladoras cats.

Apparently, niger catfish and megalodoras make compatible cats, have 1 of each of them and they dont bother each other, even when my megalodoras is about twice the size of my ripsaw

All my raphs love snails. Spotted, striped, eigenmanni, and amblydoras...

my raphael was out and about last night so i grabbed up a camera and tape measure because this thread had me wondering about his size.. heres what i came up with010.JPG011.JPG013.JPG
