
By river do you mean the Amazone river??? According to http://nl.piranha-fury.com the S. Rhombeus is widely spread throughout Tropical South-America. They can be found in the Amazone Basin, the Rio Orinoco Basin, the Guyana's, Venezuela and Peru.
