I still feel blessed to be out of that traffic-hell hole...
Early 2000's it was absolutely fun, legendary weekends there. Working in Singapore, hop on a flight and party 2 days straight with a bunch of friends.
Crazy times, good times, but sure happy they're behind me and I'm enjoying a different life now.
Still close to Bangkok, I live right next to the ramp to the expressway, so it's 30 minutes (without traffic) and I'm at Sukhumvit Soi Nana.
But with traffic nowadays, it's easily 3 hours on a Friday evening..

there was a arapaima fishing place just outside of bangkok, last time i went, could not managed to get a booking...
when i go bangkok, i rent a car, except for the peak hours, i find traffic is ok

We used to drive around with our Friend Alex, big Volvo 960 stationcar, 5 Guys in front..girls loaded in the back...lol... 80kmph at 10pm on sukhumvit. Now it’s 24/7 30kmph if you’re lucky.
Next time on a trip here give me a buzz. I’ll show you my arapaima and his friends

last time I went Nana was like 5 years ago I think. Still had some old friends working at the bar outside Rainbow. Not a shadow of what it was in 2000-2004 though.soi nana.... good place...

There are quite a few fishing places with arapaima outside of bangkok.

True enough GS, there's plenty of Arapaima fishing places. Guessing my Arapaima escaped from such place during the big floods in 2011.
She ended up in my factory's storm drain when the water receded, where we found her (in surprisingly good condition) 1 month later.
There where many small fish that ended up in the same storm drain I guess, so she had plenty of food...lol.
