I just got an Anubias Nana Petite. However, when I got it, some of the leaves were melting. It looks like almost all the leaves are melting away now.:irked: If I just trimmed off all the leaves and left the Rhizome, would it be okay? Would it grow back as full as before? Is it worth saving?

It should grow back from teh rhizome, but the growth will be painfully slow (this is in your Edge right?)

If I were you, I'd get another one. The leaves may have been damaged accidentally when planting?

Are you using the stock Halogens or have you picked up the LED's that fit the same socket?

Haven't found any LED lights yet, but I do have some extra lighting on that tank.

Cut the leaves off. I accidentally left my leaves exposed to air when I first got the plant (two/maybe three weeks ago) and it's already starting to sprout new leaves.

Remove the leaves before it drains the energy/nutrients away from the rhizome.

Alright...the leaves were so far gone that when I took it out to cut the leaves off, all I did was rub it between my fingers and all the leaves came off.

I would cut down a little bit past that, to where you have healthy tissue, so the plant stops "trying to repair" itself. I'll take a picture of mine and post it.

Sorry to say this but believe new leaves only grow from the "front" of the plant. Picture shows what I mean...

I got some shots of what it looks like after I rubbed off the leaves. Is there any hope?
